Overview
The European Commission Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) manages over 300 programs with a budget of 392 billion Euros. DG REGIO's Business Process Team (BPT) supports internal and external business process services.
Objectives
The project's main objectives were to prepare for post-2020 processes, optimize existing processes, ensure coherence between REGIO's needs and ICT tools, and support business changes while maintaining high-quality information systems.
Challenges
The project faced challenges such as aligning business processes with ICT tools and managing collaboration among European civil servants and Member States.
Solutions
The project supported and enabled business changes using tools such as Compass Corporate and SFC2021. It also defined and reviewed business processes with various stakeholders, ensuring simplicity and consistency.
